First, Apple teased “showcase the latest innovations in iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.” We think we know what that means. New software version with new changes and features!
Apple will share these details through keynote speeches, State of the Union presentations, information sessions, learning labs and digital lounges to engage attendees.
Speaking of which, developers and students attending a live offline event on June 6 will have access to “Apple Engineers and Technologies” to learn how these things work with different Apple hardware. However, keep in mind that there will be limited space, and registration will soon be open for attendance through the Apple Developer Site and App.
Consistent with the Call to Code theme and being a developer conference, WWDC22 will also conduct the Swift Student Challenge where students will be encouraged to participate and come up with a Swift Playground app project of their choice and their work will be accepted. Until April 25. You can see more details about this here.
Finally, Apple notes that this year, the company will have more local content for its global audience.

With that in mind, WWDC22 invites developers from around the world to come up with ways to bring their best ideas to life and put them into the envelope that is possible. We love connecting with our developers, and we hope all of our participants feel inspired by their experiences, “said Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations and Enterprise and Education Marketing.
In all of this, Apple has not spoken or hinted at any hardware announcements (unless you take the phrase “technology and tools to make their vision a reality”). * Cough cough * apple glass. However, according to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple’s AR / VR glass may be delayed “due to overheating, camera and software-related development issues”.
WWDC22 is also rumored to have a Mac Pro or other Mac hardware with Apple Silicon. But since there is no specific evidence to back them up, we can’t really be sure Let’s see.
