The final developer update will allow developers to optimize the application for the upcoming Android version. It includes the final interface and system behavior of Android 7.1.1, and developers can start optimizing applications from now on. It also includes the developer features and APIs introduced by the previous developer and the full available list can be found here.
However, the update will only be available on Pixel C and Nexus 9 tablets, and on Nexus 5X and Nexus 6P smartphones, Pixel and Pixel XL, as well as Google’s flagships for 2016.
