Honor phones to speed up with the company’s new GPU Turbo technology

With hardware-software integration, GPU Turbo technology enhances graphics processing capabilities to optimize the mobile gaming experience. Debuted with Honor Play, it will be gradually rolled out to other Honor smartphones.

To meet the growing demand for graphics processing capabilities in smartphones, Honor has announced GPU Turbo technology. The company claims that with hardware-software integration, the technology will dramatically increase the graphics processing efficiency of mobile phones and provide users with a smoother and faster mobile experience.

Honor says the GPU Turbo will first appear on the Honor Play, which was launched in Beijing on Wednesday. The technology will be gradually introduced on other popular Honor smartphones such as Honor 10, Honor View10, Honor 9 Lite and Honor 7X.

“We are thrilled to have this technological breakthrough. With GPR Turbo, we are confident that we can further enhance our market capabilities by enhancing our graphics processing skills and providing a seamless mobile experience, “said Honors President George Zhao.

GPU Turbo rebuilds traditional graphics processing structures on low-level systems and improves the user experience.

Huawei and Honor claim that after exploring and saving on graphic processing, they have made technological advances to improve graphics processing efficiency by 60 percent where System on Chip (SoC) power consumption has been reduced by 30 percent, exceeding the limit. The balance between smartphone performance and power consumption.

In addition, with greater rendering capabilities, Honor devices can achieve “outstanding” graphics quality with the GPU Turbo, even if the mobile game application does not support High Dynamic Range (HDR) imaging.

Not just mobile gaming, the technology will provide users with a great experience when it comes to increasingly popular cutting edge technologies and applications that also require high graphic processing capabilities such as augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR) and image rendering.

The company says that the GPU Turbo Honor will become the core capability of the smartphone, resulting in excellent integration between the smartphone’s hardware and EMUI software, as well as creating a smooth top-level graphics application.
