How to create a fun people chart in Excel

A man’s chart is an infographic, which leads me to the second definition. An infographic tells a story, apparently. Its purpose is to inform and educate, but in the business world, it is often used to create brand awareness. Even though you’re like me, humming drives you a little bad. So, an infographic hall in the world of Susan is a chart filled with related images. A person’s chart uses people’s icon-type images; So people chart. These are much more fun than traditional column or line charts, and viewers quickly grasp the information or story at a glance. In this article, I will show you how to create a Microsoft Excel guy chart.

I’m using Microsoft 365 on a Windows 10 64-bit system, but you can use the .xlsx format version before 2013 and Excel for the web. I recommend that you stop upgrading to Windows 11 until all issues are resolved. For your convenience, you can download the Exhibit .xlsx file. Menu version, .xls, does not support human charts.
PeopleGraph is an Excel add-in
Excel supports human charts, but not directly. This is an add-in that you can retrieve from the Microsoft Store whenever you need. Before you begin, I suggest you reduce the zoom. The chart is big and it will be difficult for you to work with the chart if you do not zoom in less. Now, to make an insert now, do the following:
- Click the Insert tab.
- Click the add-in dropdown and select People Graph (Figure A) Terms graphs and charts are not really interchangeable, but use product name graphs. I will use charts, which are graphical representations of data. All graph charts; Not all charts are graphs. The main difference here is that a graph represents the relationship between the data. Our people can be charts, so I’m going with charts.

To create an Excel man chart, you need some data. Figure B Shows a simple data set with dummy charts. Believe it or not, click on this add-in button to fill in the blank chart frame with dummy data.

How to connect Excel data to chart
At this point, you are ready to link the chart to the actual data Click on the dummy chart and then click on the data icon shown Figure C.

The gear icon on the right will access the settings. Click the Select Your Data option and select Data, as shown in the Entertainment Survey Table Figure B, And click Create. I don’t know of any way to attach the dummy chart to the data in another sheet. It looks like the dummy chart must be on the same sheet as the data set
In a matter of seconds, you’ve created a chart of people showing up Figure d. Fortunately, you can customize the chart a bit if you don’t care for the original design.

How to customize Excel’s people chart
Basic settings are enough, but you may want to customize the chart a bit. The type of chart to consider first. There are three, and to access them, click the Settings icon (the gear icon shown in Figure d) And select the type. The three defined chart types are shown Figure e.

After selecting the type, select the theme; There are seven. I like the second chart type short conversation blob, but I don’t care for the orange background, so I chose the last theme, the red man on the white / gray background, as shown Figure F.

The last, or third, setting allows us to change human shape. There are 16! I chose the third, which is “on the way” to look like a person to better define the subject of entertainment. Close the settings pane to see the finished chart sown Figure G..

If you use a table object to store source data, people’s charts will be updated automatically when you update source data. People charts can be an interesting part of a dashboard. It’s quick and easy to create and really changes the mood – it’s much more interesting than a traditional column or line chart and the story is easier to understand, just a glimpse.
