Nokia 6 has started getting June Android security update in India

Nokia 6 (2017) phones began receiving the June Android security update two days after it was made available on Google Pixel and Nexus devices. The size of the installer package is about 148.3MB.
Google has begun receiving the Nokia 6 (2017) update, which was launched in India last year, two days after Google rolled out its June Android security patch for the Pixel and Nexus phones. HMD Global is using regular and fast Android updates as the USP of Nokia phones.
Customers will either be asked to download the update or they can check it by going to Settings and then going to the System Update sub menu. Nokia 6 (2017) update size 148.3 MB.
According to Nokiapoweruser, the June security update brought a fix to a serious vulnerability to the Media Framework that could enable remote attackers to execute arbitrary code in the context of a facilitated process using a specially created file.
HMD Global is releasing monthly security updates and OS updates for Nokia smartphones. It made it clear during its launch event that all Nokia Android phones will receive at least a two-year OS update. The company recently announced that all of its existing devices will be updated to Android P once the new OS rolls out.
Earlier this year, HMD Global introduced the Android Oreo update for the Nokia 6 smartphone. The size of the update was about 1659MB. In addition to Android Orio, users also get a refreshed settings UI, enhanced power savings, and background activity manager. Further, low light imaging quality was improved.
