Sony Xperia Z5, Z3 + and Z4 tablets are getting Android 7.0 update

Sony has relaunched the rollout of Android 7.0 Nougat for Xperia Z5, Z3 + and Z4 tablets

Sony Xperia Z5, Xperia Z3 + and Xperia Z4 tablets are getting Android 7.0 Nougat update. Japanese smartphone makers discontinued the update after early adopters began reporting issues. XperiaBlog reports that the new update comes with build number 32.3.A.0.376.

Sony had to suspend the update after Xperia Z5 users started complaining about audio playback after the update. The firmware will be rolled out to eligible Xperia devices in the coming days. However, those interested in getting a build immediately can flash their devices once the firmware becomes available.

Android 7.0 Nougat comes with advanced notification and dose mode. The new flavor of Android adds local support for split-screen multitasking. Google’s mobile operating system also introduces support for quick switching that allows users to switch between two open apps by double-tapping the overview button.

The Sony Xperia Z3 + was the only non-Nexus device that supported the Nougat preview and is now finally getting the official update. With Android 7.0 Nougat, Google has also facilitated the overall component design of the operating system. The operating system is now installed on more than 1 percent of Android devices.
