Symantec has launched subscription-based Norton Security in India

Symantec has launched Norton Security, a subscription-based antivirus service in India. It is a single service aimed at protecting PCs, Macs, Android smartphones and tablets as well as iPhones and iPads. Norton Security comes with three versions called Standard, Deluxe and Premium. The service starts at Rs. 1,399 per year for the standard version which will support a single PC or Mac device. The deluxe version extends this support to up to 5 devices, including PC, Mac, smartphone or tablet. The premium version of the service offers support for up to 10 devices and comes with additional features. It comes with Norton Family Premiere, 25GB of secure cloud storage and it automatically backs up your photos, financial files as well as other important documents. As part of their introductory offer, Norton is offering standard, deluxe and premium versions in Rupee. 749, Rs 1,399, and Rs. 2,999 for the first year.

Symantec claims that Norton Security will offer the best in class performance and protection. It further states that the service uses innovations such as Insight, SONAR and threat monitoring to detect even the most resistant threats. It also comes with secure web, scam insights, download insights and anti-phishing technology for sharing information with each other. The agency says it helps determine if a site is being used for a socially-engineered attack scam. The service comes with Norton Mobile Insight. Symantec claims that this feature purchases more than 200 app stores worldwide to determine and provide dynamic analysis of app behavior.
Symantec also offers a 100 percent refund guarantee for customers if a Norton expert fails to remove a virus from a Mac or PC. It will provide 24/7 support to all its customers.
