Synology Inc. G Suite / Office 365 today announced the official release of Active Backup, an on-premises cloud backup solution for businesses to ensure the security of data stored on G Suite / Office 365 drives.

“As a growing number of businesses rely on cloud collaboration to enhance their work efficiency, cloud-based data security is becoming increasingly valuable,” said Xiao Yu Liu, senior manager of Cloud and Backup at Sinology Inc. Key features of Active Backup for G Suite / Office 365 include:

On-premise and cost-effective backup: With a one-time investment, businesses can back up data stored on G Suite and Office 365 drives to local Synology NAS devices so that employees can easily own and protect their data.

Automatic detection and backup of new account: Newly-created accounts will be automatically detected and added for backup, which reduces operating costs as well as the possibility of leaving an employee without a backup.
