For use, we have Dr. for Android on Macbook Air. I have installed version 1.0.0 of Fone, which runs OS X 10.10.3 (Yosemite). The device we used to test it was a Samsung Galaxy Grand Duos (GT-I9082), running Android 4.2.2. The download file is just 60 MB in size and is easily accessible from their product page here. 1) Install and launch the application

Dr. for Android from the above mentioned link. After downloading Fone, mount the .dmg file and install it in your Applications folder. Click on the icon to turn it on.

2) Connect the device

Connect your Android device to the laptop via a USB cable The program will automatically detect the device as long as your system detects the device.

3) Choose what you want to scan

On the next screen (shown below), select the type of file you want to scan and recover.

Next, you need to select how the tool scans the storage media. We recommend the default scanning option for deleted files only.

Now, make sure that your device has at least 20% battery charge and press “Start” to start the scanning process.

4) Scanning the device

After a few preliminary tests to match the device model and analyze the data, Dr. for Android. Fone will start scanning the device for the file types you choose.

5) Recovery

Depending on the file type, scanning mode, and capacity of your device, the scan time can last from 45 minutes to 2 hours. When you think the scan is complete, the preview of the recoverable files is accessible. To recover the file, press recovery.

After determining the location and name of the folder in which the data should be restored, press Save.
